I'm being kept too busy today to talk at length about Canada - in a nutshell, my opinion of the country has long been that it's pretty much just like the United States, except a little better. Thankfully, reader Andrew H.'s suggestion that we also look at famous Canadians (or, as the website I found listing some charmingly calls them, 'well-known people who happen to be Canadian') is an idea which does not take much time to implement. Let's begin with actors who happen to be Canadian; obviously this is far from an exhaustive list, it's just a few that I liked the sound of:

I think Peter Jennings is well established as Canadian, too, though... let me look at the complete list again here (like I say, I just picked a few, but did include the link to the rest... plus I've only listed male actors so far) - in the more surprising but then not so surprising column I would include Pamela Andersen, Keanu Reeves, Hank Snow, Oscar Peterson, Louis B. Mayer, Jack Warner, Saul Bellow, Bat Masterson, Art Linkletter, and James Naismith. ALSO, I've just noticed that Triumph and Aldo Nova are not listed amongst the canadian musicians, so clearly that list is not exhaustive either.
