I had a few leftover tidbits to add to my Apprentice review this morning, but the top headline that greeted me when I turned on my computer just now compells me to first mention the vulgar display of power which went down in Ohio last night. R.I.P. Dimebag.

Is this really the worst day in metal history ? What about when Kiss released "I was made for lovin' you" ?
Though I do have a fair share of metal albums in my library I've neevr really been enough of a 'metalhead' to offer much of an opinion on this one. You had Randy Rhodes' death, but Ozzy solo was so much worse than the first 4 black sabbath albums that that doesn't seem worthy of #1 worst day status, and i never liked metallica enough to choose cliff burton's death either (though they were much better before he died)... so I'm going to go ahead and say that the day in 1987 that Anthrax released "I'm The Man", the first shot at mixing rap and metal that I'm aware of, was in fact the worst day in metal history.
