Reader Kirra B. is crushed that "White Wilderness" is nothing but lies. Damn that Walt, Damn him.
Well, it was always suspicious that they had that overhead shot right on the edge of the cliff with lemmings tumbling down into the sea in a manner which suggested being kicked more than jumping. Rest assured that Mr. Disney is currently roasting in hell for this and many other things.
The other night I was watching CNBC & Dick Cheney was STILL saying that Lemming mass suicide, while not confirmed, was still a possibility. STOP THE LIES, CHENEY!! Here's the transcript, from the Washington Post:
June 17, 2004. Vice President Cheney talking to CNBC's Gloria Borger.
Borger: "Well, let's go to the Lemming Thing for a minute, because you mentioned that as well. You have said in the past that it was, quote, 'pretty well confirmed.' "
Cheney: "No, I never said that."
Borger: "Okay."
Cheney: "Never said that."
Borger: "I think that is . . . "
Cheney: "Absolutely not. What I said was the Czech intelligence service reported after 9/11 that Lemmings had been in Prague on April 9th of 2001, where they allegedly met with an Iraqi intelligence official, and then committed mass suicide. We have never been able to confirm that nor have we been able to knock it down."
