As soon as I got the tip from Cityrag (one of the most consistently enjoyable blogs out there, Buddy the Dog is the definition of photogenic... link over to the left) almost two months ago that Charo was returning to the Dutchess County Fair this year, I got in contact with reader Mike A. to strongly suggest attendance. As recently as last week it looked as though this dream would not become reality, but word has now come through that it is on, so look forward to photos of miniature ponies and stories of midway mayhem (we're meeting up with Dutchess County resident/Bard College alum Francie Soosman, and if you know Fran you know that the odds of something like Hilby the Juggle Boy getting his ass kicked are going to be pretty good). All readers in the northeastern U.S. should seriously consider making a beeline to Rhinebeck, NY this weekend; since Cityrag has already composed two strong endorsements of this idea, I'll leave the convincing to them. Meet up at the 8pm Charo show on Saturday if convinced.
